A set of 12 children's quilts, each with a hand-painted central panel, celebrated a dozen of our favorite plays which my Children's Theatre Class performed at Canyon High School for elementary school children in the 1990s. During that decade, 25 classic children's stories played to audiences totalling some 40,000. These quilts formed my second solo exhibition, "ENCORE!", shown at the Valencia Public Library during March of 2000. All quilts are roughly 30"x40", vertical format. Karen Ruppert and Katie Gavin helped with some of the hand quilting. |
